THE MURDOCHS AND OTHER PRESS BARONS

Sir Keith Murdoch

Sir Keith Murdoch was the father of Rupert Murdoch.

Sir Keith Murdoch made his name reporting on British bungling at Gallipoli in 1915.

According to Piers Brendon, Sir Keith's report on Gallipoli "was a miasma of errors and exaggerations."

Sir Keith became boss of the Herald newspaper group in Melbourne, Australia.

According to Brendon:

Sir Keith "employed ruthless measures in Melbourne’s circulation wars."

Sir Keith "turned his work-force into a private army."

Elisabeth Murdoch (daughter of Rupert) and her husband Matthew Freud, who is Jewish. "The Freud-Murdoch party mingled with the Rothschilds' house guests, including Peter Mandelson, George Osborne and the Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska." Freud has links to Obama. (Website)

Sir Keith "used his media to bully politicians such as Prime Minister Joseph Lyons, who got him a knighthood and advanced his interests.

"Keith once said that he had put Lyons into office and he would put him out."

Rupert Murdoch is more powerful than Keith Murdoch.

According to Brendon:

Rupert Murdoch has been "intimidating and cajoling politicians, mounting virulent attacks on liberal foes via The Sun or Fox News and supporting right-wing allies in return for commercial concessions – such as Tony Blair’s repeal of the ban on alien ownership of television companies and David Cameron’s pledge to emasculate Ofcom."

On 10 November 2011, JAMES Murdoch was accused by a UK member of Parliament of being the first “Mafia boss in history” who didn’t know he was running a criminal enterprise.

Capo di tutti capi plays dumb when quizzed about Murdoch mafia.

Hearst

Piers Brendon also refers to other press barons:

"William Randolph Hearst ... gave regular paid employment to hoodlums...

"They not only terrorised striking journalists on the Chicago Examiner (themselves apt to extract information by vile means) but promoted its circulation by assaulting news vendors, about 30 of whom were murdered."

In Australia there were "such brutal, violent, racist, blackmailing Autralian press gangsters as Ezra Norton and Sir Kerry Packer."
