TURKEY SPLIT OVER SYRIA

Turkey's Islamist prime minister Erdogan.

Turkey's Erdogan supports the CIA's terrorists who are attacking Assad in Syria.

Turkey's secular Republican People's Party opposes Erdogan.

The Kurds oppose Erdogan.

According to Christof Lehmann, 30 June 2012, Turkey is split over Syria.

Turkey – Triple Split over Syria.

"Will there be a Turkish Spring in 2013 ?" asks Christof Lehmann

What about the Gaza Flotilla killings of the nine Turks?

"Earlier this year, nsnbc received information from a Palestinian Intelligence Source in Turkey who provided evidence for the fact that the Erdogan government was involved in the killings.

"The killings had several objectives. Ridding the Turkish Muslim Brotherhood of members who were opposed to military action against Syria, bolstering Erdogan´s domestic support sufficiently so he would be in a position where he could fire secular Turkish generals who were opposed to a military transgression against Syria."

In an interview with Trish Schuh, in Counterpunch, in 2005, he said:

"Its all about money. And power. And wealth... and democracy has to be spread around the world.

"Those who want to espouse globalization are going to make a lot of money, be happy, their families will be happy.

"Regarding the plans for regime change in Syria and Lebanon he added: The end justifies the means. I don't care about how it's done. The important thing is that it is done. I don't rule out force. I'm not against force. If it's an option, it will be an option...

THE REAL ASSAD

Bashar al Assad is a huge fan of the Electric Light Orchestra.

The New Lion of Damascus is book about Bashar al Assad by American academic David Lesch.

Lesch is sympathetic to Assad.

Lesch states that Bashar impresses people with his "politeness, his humility and his simplicity"

"He played soccer with neighbourhood children, ping-pong with his father, and his friends’ mothers came home to chat and cook meals with his mother Anisa."

Lesch sees Bashar al-Asad as a “combination of computer nerd, ophthalmologist, devoted family man, westernized pop-culturist, outgoing and caring friend, humble and reluctant leader..."

Patrick Seale’s Asad: The Struggle for the Middle East is also sympathetic towards Bashar.

Asma, Bashar's wife, grew up in London, and worked as a banker at JP Morgan.

Her father is a Sunni Muslim.

Asma has immersed herself in social work.

Hafed al Assad (right) the father of Bashar.

But what about Bashar's father?

From 1976 to 1982, Islamists carried out a terrorist campaign against the secular 'reformist' government of Syria.

The Muslim Brotherhood's violence included bomb attacks and the targeting of government officials.

In 1982, in Hama, Islamists attacked people "while sleeping in their homes and killed whomever they could kill of women and children, mutilating the bodies of the martyrs in the streets, driven, like mad dogs, by their black hatred."

The security forces then "rose to confront these crimes."

It should be noted that the Muslim Brotherhood has been described as being a tool of the CIA and MI6.

And what of Bashar?

According to the Financial Times's Roula Khalaf, Bashar "built relationships with businessmen eager for change to the socialist economy, and with political activists hungry for a whiff of freedom of expression.

"Bashar al-Assad became a vociferous critic of bureaucratic corruption and those he recommended were placed in key positions in government."

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/669da3aa-b5b5-11e1-ab92-00144feabdc0.html#ixzz1xxD7BQID

According to the Financial Times's Roula Khalaf, when Bashar became president "political prisoners were released and discussion forums thrived" in what became known as the Damascus Spring.

"Technocrats were brought into the government, as were European advisors to help reform the administration."

Israel sees Syria as a supporter of the Palestinians and as an opponent of Israel's plans for a Greater Israel.

Bashar's problem is that the USA decided, well before 9 11, that it was going to bring about regime change in several countries, including Syria.

General Wesley Clark said the aim of this plot (to destroy the governments in Syria, Libya etc) was this: "They wanted us to destabilize the Middle East, turn it upside down, make it under our control."

Why the US Wants Regime Change in Syria - Dr Stuart Jeanne ...

The CIA and its friends presumably have a number of assets in Syria, including people within the security forces.

"The BBC’s World News editor, Jon Williams, began a June 7 blog emphasising ‘the complexity of the situation on the ground in Syria, and the need to try to separate fact from fiction’.

"Williams continued: 'In the aftermath of the massacre at Houla last month, initial reports said some of the 49 children and 34 women killed had their throats cut.

"'In Damascus, Western officials told me the subsequent investigation revealed none of those found dead had been killed in such a brutal manner.

"'Moreover... the details of exactly who carried out the attacks, how and why were still unclear… The facts are few: it's not clear who ordered the killings - or why.’

"During the battle of Tripoli, NATO produced fake studio films, and then transmitted them via Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya, showing phantom images of Libyan rebels on the central square of the capital city, while in reality they were still far away.

"As a consequence, the inhabitants of Tripoli were persuaded that the war was lost and gave up all resistance."

Sir Edward Grey was the UK foreign Secretary in the Liberal government in Britain in 1914.

According to Webster Tarpley (american_almanac/edwgrey.htm, 1995), "Sir Edward Grey Turned The Sarajevo Crisis Into War."

Tarpley claims that Grey used ‘perfidy and cunning’ to bring about a world war after the assassination of the heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungar Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28, 1914 in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

According to Tarpley, if Sir Edward Grey had wanted to avoid war, he could have warned France and Russia that Britain would remain neutral.

Russia was unlikely to go to war without the support of Britain.

FRANCE SEEKS WAR; 'RUSSIAN TROOPS READY FOR SYRIA'

France's Hollande and Fabius.

On 13 June 2012, France said that Syria has descended into civil war and that all means, including force, should be used under international supervision to help restore peace.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said he would propose that the United Nations Security Council vote on a resolution giving U.N. members a mandate to intervene in Syria, possibly as part of a military operation.

Citing Syria Civil War, France to Propose UN Intervention

Reportedly, French special forces are in Syria, organising the terrorists who have been carrying out the massacres.

The French killed many Algerians. Over a million Algerians died between 1954 and 1962.

We may soon see France and its allies bombing churches, schools, orphanages and children's hospitals in Damascus.

On 12 June 2012, we read that Russia's Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper is reporting that the Russian army is apparently being prepared for a mission in Syria.

"Citing anonymous sources in the military leadership, the newspaper said that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the general staff to work out a plan for military operations outside Russia, including in Syria.

"The units being prepared for an intervention are the 76th Division of airborne forces (an especially experienced unit of the Russian army), the 15th Army Division, as well as special forces from a brigade of the Black Sea fleet, which has a base in the Syrian port of Tartus...

Russian warships have recently visited Syria.

"An anonymous source from the Russian government told the Iranian newspaper Tehran Times that Moscow wants to show NATO that it will not allow any military operation against Damascus under the guise of a humanitarian mission...

"Two weeks ago, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev warned that a military intervention in Syria could quickly escalate and lead to the use of nuclear weapons...

Russia is reportedly preparing 2 Divisions for deployment to Syria

"A regime change in Damascus would probably bring a Sunni government to power, which would work closely with Saudi Arabia and the United States against Russia and China...

"A NATO-led war against Syria would be an immediate prelude to a war against Iran. An attack on Iran would mean another step toward a military escalation of tensions between Washington and Beijing..."

SYRIAN REBELS TRIED TO KILL UK JOURNALISTS; AFGHANS IN SYRIA.

Alex Thompson, Channel 4 News's chief correspondent, said he was driven out into the centre of no-man's land was a deliberate move by rebels to get them killed
Alex Thomson.

Channel 4 News's chief correspondent Alex Thomson says anti-Assad Syrian rebels plotted to kill him and his crew when they were in Syria.

http://blogs.channel4.com/alex-thomsons-view/hostile-territory/1863

He says that he and his crew were deliberately led by the rebels into an area where they would be killed.

He said: 'I’m quite clear the rebels deliberately set us up to be shot ... Dead journos are bad for Damascus.'

'Suddenly four men in a black car beckon us to follow,' Thomson said: 'We move out behind.

'We are ...told by the Free Syrian Army to follow a road that was blocked off in the middle of no-man’s-land.

Alex in Syria.

'At that point there was the crack of a bullet and one of the slower three-point turns I’ve experienced. We screamed off into the nearest side-street for cover.

'Another dead-end. There was no option but to drive back out onto the sniping ground and floor it back to the road we’d been led in on...

'Predictably the black car was there which had led us to the trap. They roared off as soon as we re-appeared.'

He concluded his blog saying: 'In a war where they slit the throats of toddlers back to the spine, what’s the big deal in sending a van full of journalists into the killing zone?

Independent journalist Anhar Kochneva

Independent journalist Anhar Kochneva writes about Syria:

A few Afghans were caught and asked, ‘What are you doing here?’

They replied, ‘We were told that we came to Israel, and at night we are shooting at Israeli buses. We are fighting with the enemy to liberate Palestine.’

It might be funny, but it is true. The guys were really surprised, ‘Are we in Syria? We thought we were in Israel!’

Eyewitness accountMedia lies about Syria | gbtimes

Anhar Kochneva writes:

1. I’ve been living permanently in Syria for the last seven months, and I saw only three ‘so-called demonstrations’. So-called, because there were very few people and they were clearly staged as a performance for journalists. “Protests” were shot on video for five or ten minutes before people quickly dispersed. In some cities, where bandits took control temporarily, they forced people to go to demonstrations.

2. Some weeks ago I was in Homs. I was in the sadly known Baba Amr district of Homs. Most of the residents have left their homes. My friends live 800 meters from Baba Amr. They told me that bandits fired at their houses. Not the Army. The Syrian army does not kill people. They only answer when the situation is extreme.

3. Most of the last months' casualties were soldiers of the Syrian Army. The so-called rebels fight in the streets, shoot videos and burn tires. If you see black smoke on a video “made by mobile phone”, it’s not the result of artillery fire by the army, it is smoke from burning tires.

4. A month ago I was in Zabadani in southwest Syria. The bandits kept the whole city in fear.

5. In Zabadani, my colleagues and I were captured by bandits. They showed us a rusty tank and said the tank fired at the town. But the two ruined houses were in the middle of the district. I do not think that the tank could shoot from the air or from behind the corner. They gathered a dozen people and organized a demonstration especially for us. At this moment I looked at the people's faces. I saw only fear and hatred on the faces. They were afraid of the bandits and hated them.

6. There are a lot of soldiers of fortune among the bandits. They are Chechens, Romanians, French, Libyans, and Afghans. Moreover, there was a very funny accident with Afghan soldiers. A few Afghans were caught and asked, ‘What are you doing here?’ They replied, ‘We were told that we came to Israel, and at night we are shooting at Israeli buses. We are fighting with the enemy to liberate Palestine.’ It might be funny, but it is true. The guys were really surprised, ‘Are we in Syria? We thought we were in Israel!’

7. Tragically, Syria is an obstacle for the US to change the political balance in the Middle East. Read the book Where to Invade Next, edited by Stephen Elliott, and you will understand a lot about the Arab Spring.

8. In January, a mission of the League of Arab States gave a detailed report on the events in Damascus. They reported that police conduct in Homs was a reaction to the activities of the armed gangs. So far, the commission's report of LAS has not been published. I hope that the UN personnel are decent people who will objectively reflect the situation.

CHILD RAPE, MURDER, ATTACKS ON CHURCHES - BY CIA'S FORCES IN SYRIA

Ammar Waqqaf, is a Syrian analyst and BBC commentator.

He says: "the West is supplying weapons to jihadist elements in Syria, groups that ...will ... attack the Christians...

"Syrians... are terrorized by armed groups, supported by Europe and the United States and linked to al Qaeda, whose real goal is to create a religious clash between Sunnis and Shiites...

"I would not be at all surprised if we found out that the British secret services, the MI6 were behind everything that is happening there".

SYRIA/ Waqqaf: The West is arming Al Qaeda

Christians in Syria are being "ethnically cleansed," by the CIA's death squads. "The LA Times has been quietly reporting on the tragedy of Syria's minorities at the hands of the Syrian rebels for months - and indicates that wider genocide will take place, just as it is now in Libya, should Syria's government collapse under foreign pressure." French Bishop: Foreign Fighters

According to a bishop, the anti-Assad forces in Syria have been attacking Christians.

According to the bishop, the anti-Assad forces are mainly non-Syrians.

French Bishop Philip Tournyol Clos has stated: "the picture for us is utter desolation: the church of Mar Elian is half destroyed and that of Our Lady of Peace is still occupied by the rebels.

"Christian homes are severely damaged due to the fighting and completely emptied of their inhabitants, who fled without taking anything.

"The area of Hamidieh still has heavily armed groups ... bankrolled by Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

"All the Christians (138,000) have fled to Damascus and Lebanon, while others took refuge in the surrounding countryside."

According to Bishop Philip Tournyol Clos: "the enemies of Syria have enlisted some of the Muslim Brotherhood in order to destroy the brotherly relations that traditionally existed between Muslims and Christians: Yet, to date, they are not able to: they have provoked a contrary reaction and the two communities are more united than before.

"The Syrian soldiers in fact, continue to face foreign fighters, mercenaries Libyans, Lebanese militants from the Gulf, Afghans, Turks"

According to blogger Tony Cartalucci, the US, NATO, Israeli, and Gulf State-backed Free Syrian Army has been accused by Syria's Christian community of waging a sectarian war on the Syrian people.

French Bishop: Syrian Soldiers Face Foreign Fighters, Mercenaries, and Militants

Bashir Al Assad with Hearts

Topny cartalucci writes (Destroyer Report):

"The Bishop's comments are corroborated by over a year of evidence trickling out of the Western media itself - with admissions that Libya has been sending cash, arms, and fighters to join the so-called "Free Syrian Army," and that the Muslim Brotherhood is indeed heavily involved in the fighting, as they were in the 1980's when last they were defeated in Syria.

"In regards to sectarian violence directed specifically at Christians, the Bishop's narrative is confirmed by LA Times' 'Church fears 'ethnic cleansing' of Christians in Homs, Syria,' and more recently in USA Today's distorted, but still telling, 'Christians in Syria live in uneasy alliance with Assad, Alawites.'

Thierry Meyssan, at Voltaire Network, 5 June 2012, (www.voltairenet.org/a174488) has written about the Houla Massacre of 25 May 2012.

According to Meyssan:

1. The Syrian Catholic news agency, Vox Clamantis, has accused the anti-Assad forces of carrying out the massacre. [2].

2. The Russian news channel Rossiya 24 (exVesti) aired a very detailed 45-minute report blaming the anti-Assad forces[3].

Houla is now controlled by the anti-Assad forces, but Rossiya was able to move around the area without an escort.

3. Houla is not a town, but an administrative area made up of three villages, each with about 25,000 residents but which today lie largely abandoned.

The Sunni market town of Tal Daw has been under rebel control for many weeks. The Free "Syrian" Army had imposed its rule there. The national Army was securing transport routes by maintaining several posts on roads within the area, but did not venture beyond these roads.

Certain individuals kidnapped children and attempted unsuccessfully to extort ransoms. [5]

In the end, these children were killed a few days before the Houla massacre, but their bodies were brought by the Free "Syrian" Army to be laid out amongst the others.

4. In the evening of 24 May, the Free "Syrian" Army launched a very large-scale operation to reinforce its control over the region, and to make Tal Daw its new base.

In order to do this, 600-800 combatants from various districts gathered in Rastan and Saan and proceeded to launch simultaneous attacks on the military bases.

At the same time, a team was fortifying Tal Daw by installing five anti-tank missile batteries, and purging the town of some of its inhabitants.

The first victims in Tel Daw were a dozen people related to Abd al-Muty Mashlab – a legislator of the recently elected Baas party who was appointed Secretary of the National Assembly; following this, the family of a senior official – Mouawyya al-Sayyed – was killed.

Subsequent targets were families of Sunni origin who had converted to Shiite Islam. Other victims included the family of two journalists for Top News and New Orient News, press agencies associated with Voltaire Network.

Many people, including children, were raped before being killed.

With only one of the Army’s bases having fallen, the assailants changed strategy.

They transformed a military defeat into a communication operation, attacking the al-Watani hospital and setting fire to it.

They took corpses from the hospital morgue and transported them along with those of other victims to the mosque, where the bodies were filmed.

The theory of a single massacre perpetrated by pro-government militia does not stand up to the facts.

There were battles which took place between loyalists and rebels, as well as several massacres of pro-government civilians at the hands of the rebels.

Then, a scenario was staged by the Free "Syrian" Army where corpses originating from these various earlier situations were mixed together.

Indeed, the existence of the "Shabbihas" is a myth. Whilst there are certainly individuals in favour of the government who are armed and capable of committing acts of revenge, there is no structure or organized group that could be termed as a pro-government militia.

Russia has moved into the country – with over 100,000 Russians currently residing in Syria...

They also set up information bases including troops that are able to move around rebel controlled areas. In this way, Moscow was able to shed light on the facts within a few days.

Their specialists succeeded in identifying the 13 members of the Free Syrian Army guilty of these killings and gave their names to the Syrian authorities.
